Op Sceptre - tackling knife crime

This week we have been supporting Op Sceptre, a national campaign to tackle knife crime.

We know locally knife crime is relatively low compared to other areas, however, we’re not complacent and continue to take action to stop people from carrying a knife in the first place.

This week the team visited Kidderminster College, using the knife pole and speaking with students about the dangers and consequences of carrying knives. Students were all very polite and a credit to the college. 
We also joined the Foley Park Methodist Church Youth Club, taking along the knife board and delivering an input to teenagers on knife possession. Officers created a short quiz, and advice literature for both young people and parents was shared. We were warmly welcomed as always, and look forward to returning soon.
